Job Title: Data Modeller
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite Per Week)
Employment Type: Outside IR35 / Contract 6 months

A leading insurance organisation is seeking a mid-level Data Modeller to support enterprise data initiatives across multiple business lines. This is a contract opportunity suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and brings strong domain knowledge in insurance data.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models aligned with business processes and insurance domain requirements.
* Collaborate with analysts, SMEs, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable data models.
* Ensure consistency and integrity of data models across retail, specialist, and reinsurance lines.
* Document data structures and business rules using tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or Sparx EA.
* Uphold data modelling standards and governance practices.
* Work closely with architecture and process improvement teams to ensure alignment.
* Contribute to metadata management, data lineage, and master/reference data initiatives.
* Support data quality and remediation efforts.
* Facilitate stakeholder workshops and build strong relationships with end users.
* Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 5 years of experience in data modelling, ideally within the insurance sector.
* Proven experience in data governance and delivery of data models.
* Strong understanding of Master and Reference Data Management.
* Certifications such as CDMP, TOGAF, or DAMA are advantageous.
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

Working Arrangement

* Based in London with a hybrid working model (minimum 3 days onsite per week).
* English-speaking environment.
* Contract engagement outside IR35.
