The Role:

The role of Head of Architecture will have the following responsibilities:

Managing a small team of Architects and Developers, providing guidance where required and ensuring high standards of work are met

Keeping clear line of communication between key stakeholders within the business and the technical team

Setting the vision for how technology and architecture support the business's growth and long-term goals.

Working closely with senior leaders to turn business ideas into practical, scalable technology solutions.

Making sure systems are secure, reliable, and designed to perform well as the business expands.

A full time permanent position, paying between £90,000 - £105,000

You will Work With

* A modern Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
(Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Dataflows, Lakehouses, Warehouses)
* Centralised data models using Medallion architecture & Kimball methodology
* Scalable and governed data pipelines aligned to business requirements
* Semantic model development for analytics, BI and reporting
* Close collaboration with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver value-driven solutions
* Continuous improvement initiatives aimed at innovation and reducing manual processes

Key Experience

You'll be a great fit if you bring:

* Strong Data Engineering & DBA experience
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric workloads
* Proficiency in SQL Server and T‑SQL
* Solid data modelling knowledge (Medallion & Kimball)
* Experience designing secure, governed, high‑performing data solutions
* Some exposure to semantic modelling & Power BI
* Strong communication skills & stakeholder engagement ability
