Lead Data Warehouse Senior Engineer - Contract

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to join our expanding IT team responsible for the development and maintenance of our mission critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources, as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked.
* Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders in ensuring data warehouse architecture development and utilization.
* Work with business analysts and project managers to develop and refine reporting and analytics requirements.
* Work on complex projects that require both depth and breadth of knowledge in a number of technologies and the business.
* Participate on projects, clarifying the business requirements, performing systems analysis, development and modification activities, as well as related maintenance & support.
* Assist in planning sessions with the business users to analyze business requirements, and provide design recommendations.
* Write concise and clear technical specifications based on analysis of complex business requirements.
* Translate business and technical requirements into business application systems.



Experience:

* Advanced knowledge of SQL including complex stored procedures, functions, query optimization, indexing strategy.
* 7+ years of experience of SSIS and SQL Server Database.
* Proven track record in delivering scalable and reliable Data Warehouse solutions.
* Strong data modeling and dimensional modeling skills (including slowly changing dimensions).
* Experience with data quality and data profiling.
* ETL/ELT design and development experience.
* Experienced in designing, building and maintaining large/complex Data Warehouse systems is desirable.
* Experience with Tableau is also desirable.
* Experience of Azure Data Storage, Azure Data Lakes and Azure SQL DB is desirable
* Experience of Azure Devops (pipelines, repos, releases etc.) is desirable


Education & Training

* Third Level Qualification in Computer Science / IT or relevant work experience.
* MS/Azure certifications desirable

ERP Systems Analyst (D365 Business Central)

Job Description

My client is a reputable manufacturing/ supply chain business based in Dublin who are seeking to add an ERP systems specialist to their team, ahead of a company wide roll out of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The role will involve overseeing the full project life cycle transitioning from Dynamics NAV to D365 BC - playing a pivotal role in the implementation and continuous improvement of the solution over the coming years.

The role operates a hybrid working concept based between home and my clients central Dublin HQ.

Role & Responsibilities

* Business process analysis, requirement gathering and system design
* Functional design, install/ config & testing of new system advancements
* Key user training and project go-live support - key escalation point for D365 BC/ ERP issues
* Hands on in new system roll out/ deployment across the business
* Working closely with third party provider to ensure successful delivery of project milestones
* Integration projects with third party add-ons

Skills & Qualifications

* Proven experience in the support, implementation and improvement of ERP business systems (Dynamics NAV/ Dynamics 365 Business Central experience highly preferable)
* End to end functional project life cycle skills, from analysis through to go-live
* Manufacturing/ supply chain business process understanding (preferable, not essential_
* Confident communication/ stakeholder engagement skills

* Familiarity with data quality and profiling techniques.
* Background in building and maintaining large-scale data warehouse environments.
* Exposure to Tableau for reporting and visualization (preferred).
* Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Azure SQL DB) and Azure DevOps tools (pipelines, repos, releases) is highly desirable.

Education & Certifications

* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
* Microsoft/Azure certifications are an advantage.
