    The Role

    My client is a globally renowned consultancy firm who specialise in cyber engineering, analytics and security for businesses, government and military purposes. They are currently seeking an experienced Penetration Tester with hands-on skills in web application, network and infrastructure to conduct vulnerability assessments from the perspective of an attacker.

    This will involve mimicking sophisticated internal and external cyber-attacks, such as advanced persistent threats (ATPs) and planning and coordinating campaigns emulating adversarial tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs). Using these techniques, you will plan and conduct cyber-attacks on applications or infrastructure, develop tools and frameworks for executing the attacks and be able to analyse the impact on business systems and review findings with key stakeholders.


    • Design and execute attacks internally and/or externally on applications and infrastructure (Web application penetration tests, and Network & infrastructure penetration tests)

    • Vulnerability assessments

    • Physical security assessments

    • Developing cyber security strategies, policies, processes and procedures

    We are looking for some of the below experience…

    • Experience in a minimum of 2 of the following areas: network vulnerability assessments, Web application security testing, network penetration testing, red teaming, or security operations

    • Programming a minimum of 1 of the following: Perl, Python, ruby, bash, C or C , C#, or Java (scripting and existing code)

    • One of the following qualifications: BS degree in Computer Engineering, CS (or a technical field preferred), OSCP, OSCE, or OSWE or SANS Certification

    • Ability to clearly convey results in reports and briefings to senior client staff


    This is a salaried position which pays up to £90k.     Technical Duties:

    • Assist other team members with escalated cases or operational issues.

    • Enter all phone calls or emails into the case management system for each case actioned.

    • Enter time for each actioned case or project task daily.

    • Respond to owned cases within applicable SLA in accordance with department procedures.

    • Follow up on all assigned cases daily (unless in a status indicating a wait).

    • Document inbound support requests with the CMS (Case Management System) in detail before escalating to higher resource.

    • Use CRM home dashboard to ensure assigned case and project workload is getting actioned.

    • Ensure clients are consistently communicated through cases on a regular basis.

    • Availability and responsiveness when participating in an on-call rotation.

    • Must work some holidays and have the flexibility to work extra shifts as required by management.

    • Perform written and verbal turnover of open issues/upcoming maintenance at the end of each on-call shift.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Measurable Targets (KPIs):

    • Response Time SLA success average above 90% for all owned cases.

    • Case closure rate before 5 business days of 80%.

    • Maintain target 75% of time weekly allocated to client billable work, with minimum 50%.
