Tech Lead (.NET & React) | Bergen

A growing technology-driven organisation in Bergen is looking for an experienced Tech Lead to play a key role in the development of business-critical digital solutions and the continued growth of its corporate offering.

The Role

The Tech Lead will provide technical direction for a cross-functional development team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day development.

They will work closely with other Tech Leads, product stakeholders, and development teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with broader business objectives. The role will involve contributing to architectural decisions, mentoring developers, and helping shape technology strategy across multiple domains.

This position is particularly well-suited to someone who enjoys bridging the gap between technology and business and can confidently balance technical excellence with commercial priorities.

Responsibilities

* Provide technical leadership and direction within a development team.
* Remain hands-on in the development of modern software solutions.
* Drive architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technology strategy.
* Mentor and support developers within the team.
* Collaborate closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other development teams.
* Ensure technical decisions align with business goals, customer needs, and cost considerations.
* Contribute to best practices, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Act as a key technical point of contact across multiple business areas.

Requirements

* Extensive experience in full-stack software development.
* Strong backend development experience with .NET/C#.
* Solid frontend development experience using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
* Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Senior Developer with leadership responsibilities.
* Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and modern development practices.
* Experience working within agile product development environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Commercially minded approach with the ability to make pragmatic technology decisions.
* Ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
* Fluent Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.

Desirable Experience

* Experience from banking, finance, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
* Experience developing B2B products or self-service digital platforms.
* Exposure to cross-team architecture forums or technology leadership groups.
* Experience working closely with product and business stakeholders.
