Software Developer

We're working with an established engineering consultancy in Kongsberg that is continuing to grow its software development team.

They're looking for experienced developers with backgrounds in C/C++, Java, or .NET who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working on software that has a real-world impact.

The Role

You'll become part of a multidisciplinary engineering team where software is developed for high-performance, safety-critical systems. Depending on your experience, you'll work across everything from embedded applications and backend services to distributed systems, simulation software and cloud-based solutions.

Typical responsibilities include:

* Designing and developing high-quality software solutions
* Working closely with systems engineers, architects and other developers
* Contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle
* Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
* Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
* Helping improve development practices and technical standards

We're Looking For

We're interested in developers with experience in one or more of the following:

* C or C++
* Java
* .NET / C#
* Object-oriented design and development
* Linux and/or Windows environments
* Git and modern development workflows
* Agile development methodologies

Experience with any of the following would also be beneficial:

* Embedded software
* Real-time systems
* Azure or AWS
* Docker and Kubernetes
* CI/CD pipelines
* Cyber security
* Distributed systems
