About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in project accounting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has experience managing multiple projects across industries such as construction, Department of Defense, or commercial architecture/engineering.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based out of Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage multiple project accounts, including setup, billing, and revenue forecasting
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking
* Maintain general ledger and support month-end close processes
* Handle ad hoc accounting tasks such as property tax, depreciation expense schedules, and fixed asset tracking
* Support compliance and reporting requirements for government and commercial contracts
* Experience with D365 BC is a huge plus

Required Qualifications

* Strong accounting experience, coupled with multiple project accounting duties
* Experience in construction, DoD, or commercial architecture, engineering environments
* Strong understanding of general ledger, project setup, billing, and forecasting
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
* Familiarity with ERP systems (not implementation-focused)
