Senior Data Platform Manager - London (Hybrid) - Up to £100,000

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Data Platform Manager to lead the delivery, optimisation and ongoing evolution of its cloud-based data platform ecosystem.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead enterprise-scale platform initiatives spanning cloud, data, integration and DevOps technologies while managing high-performing technical teams and engaging with senior business stakeholders.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

* Leading platform delivery, operations and service management
* Driving platform modernisation, automation and scalability initiatives
* Establishing governance, engineering standards and best practices
* Ensuring platform reliability, performance and operational excellence
* Managing critical incidents, risks and technical dependencies
* Leading Agile delivery across multiple workstreams
* Driving monitoring, observability and continuous improvement initiatives
* Providing technical leadership across data, cloud and platform technologies
* Mentoring engineers and technical leads
* Working closely with architecture, engineering and business stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience

* Experience leading Data Platform, Cloud, Integration or Platform Engineering teams
* Strong experience with modern data platform technologies, including Snowflake and/or Kafka.
* Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
* Good knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised platforms
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control and automation
* Understanding of platform governance, security and operational best practices
* Experience managing enterprise-scale production environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
* Experience working in Agile environments
