Senior Data Engineer (AWS, Azure or GCP)

This leading AI and development consultancy with an established and expanding client base across SA, the UK and US is hiring for 3 x Senior Data Engineers on an exclusive basis.

Their seasoned teams of data engineers, AI specialists and data scientists help create custom solutions for their clients leveraging the latest AI technologies and methodologies including NLP, GenAI, LLMs, Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning.

Due to their recent success and investment, they're scaling their team and are exciting to bring on 3 x Senior Data Engineers to join their journey.

What you will be doing

* Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines
* Optimise data models for ingestion and processing
* Implement and maintain database structure in SQL
* Work with AWS and Azure cloud services to deploy and manage data solutions
* Ensure compliance and data governance and security policies
* Improve CI/CD for data operations
* Develop IaC scripts (ideally in Terraform)

Requirements

* Solid foundation in Python, SQL
* Strong experience with data modelling, data governance and cloud infrastructure
* Knowledge of CI/CD and IaC (Terraform)
* Data architecture principles
* Minimum 3+ years working experience in either AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP as a data engineer
* Degree (math, computer science or engineering)

Non-Technical Requirement

* Experience working in a result-driven, fast-paced consulting environment
* Strong problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and reasoning skills
* Prior experience engaging with clients
* Passionate about all things technology
* Ability to work remotely (or hybrid remote) with good internet connection
