A global company are looking for a Data Architect to join their growing Data Team in their London office, as they look to leverage the latest Microsoft Azure data technologies, having launched a brand-new Data Platform and introduced Databricks - note this is a hybrid role, requiring you to come into the office 3 days per week to collaborate with colleagues.

This is a broad role, where you'll be responsible for leading the Data Architecture, Data Engineering and Data Infrastructure functions within the global Data Team. This will involve designing, developing and implementing first-class data architectures that align with business strategies, and leading the Data Engineering team who are responsible for building the data pipelines, data solutions and data infrastructure. You will also look to establish and implement data governance and management policies, and any experience with Microsoft Purview would be extremely beneficial as they look to implement this.

In doing so, you'll work closely with a host of internal and external stakeholders, including 3rd party partners and vendors. You'll provide expertise on data-related matters, driving alignment between data architecture, data engineering, IT functions and business objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer (or similar) to join an organization who are committed to utilizing the latest Microsoft technologies!

Requirements:

* Experience leading on data architecture and data engineering initiatives for complex organisations
* Experience architecting and implementing solutions using Azure data technologies such as data lake, data factory, databricks etc.
* Expertise in data modelling, data integration and database design
* Experience working with analytics tools such as Power BI
* Understanding of Master Data Management - knowledge of Purview would be highly desirable
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

* Salary up to £90,000
