Nigel Frank are supporting a public sector organisation in the search for a Technology Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of technology initiatives and ensure delivery aligns with business objectives, the technology roadmap, and the wider corporate strategy.



This role sits within Digital Services and acts as a critical bridge between technical delivery teams and business stakeholders. You'll play a key role in driving informed decision-making, managing risk, and ensuring technology investment delivers real operational value.



Role Responsibilities

* Ensuring the technology portfolio aligns with organisational strategy and long-term objectives
* Evaluating and prioritising initiatives against business and technology roadmaps
* Identifying and managing technical dependencies and delivery sequencing
* Working closely with business partners and analysts to assess and prioritise demand for new and existing technology solutions
* Allocating resources effectively across the portfolio to maximise value and delivery efficiency
* Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks across the technology portfolio
* Tracking and reporting on delivery performance, providing insight and driving continuous improvement



Skills & Experience Required

* Strong experience managing technical projects from initiation through to delivery
* Experience working across multiple project delivery methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall)
* Proven ability to manage complex portfolios with multiple dependencies
* Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to align technology initiatives to business goals

Nigel Frank is working with a well-established Managed Service Provider in Essex to recruit an experienced IT Project Manager. This is a hybrid role, based primarily from the Essex head office, with occasional travel to new and existing client sites across the South East.

This role focuses on client onboarding, offboarding and IT transition projects, ensuring smooth handover of systems and services with minimal disruption. You'll take ownership of projects from initial assessment through to delivery and closure, working closely with internal technical teams and external stakeholders.

The Role

Lead end-to-end IT transition, onboarding and infrastructure projects
Own project planning, delivery, governance, risk and financial control
Carry out initial assessments and light technical audits of new client environments as part of onboarding
Coordinate internal teams, subject matter experts and third-party suppliers
Manage stakeholders, timelines, budgets and delivery expectations
Maintain clear project documentation, reporting and RAID logs
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, ideally within an MSP environment
Strong experience delivering client onboarding, service transition or infrastructure projects
Comfortable performing high-level technical audits of new client environments
Solid understanding of IT systems, including at least three of the following: Microsoft 365 / Office 365 - Cloud technologies - Networking - Server / infrastructure environments - End-user / endpoint technologies
PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification

I am actively seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager, with experience delivering end to end Dynamics 365 ERP projects, for a brilliant new role within the UK Microsoft partner channel. The successful candidate will take the lead on a range of exciting, greenfield Dynamics 365 Business Central projects - all whilst working within a supportive environment and offering the autonomy to really drive projects.

A base salary up to £70,000 is on offer, as well as numerous company perks - operating a home working model with expectation of occasional on-site travel; project phase dependant.

Responsibilities for this role will involve:

* Managing the full project life cycle of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations
* Budget/ resource/ time frame management and developing all relevant project documentation

For this role, my client is looking for:
