A fast-growing, product-led technology company in Oslo is looking for a Head of Engineering to lead and scale their engineering organisation. This is a key leadership role where you'll shape technical strategy, build high-performing teams, and drive the delivery of modern, scalable digital products.

You'll work closely with executive leadership, product, and design to align engineering with business goals, while fostering a strong, collaborative engineering culture.

The Role

Define and execute the overall engineering strategy and roadmap

Lead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering teams (backend, frontend, platform)

Drive best practices across architecture, development, and delivery
*

Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to prioritise initiatives
*

Ensure scalability, performance, and security across all systems
*

Own hiring, team structure, and long-term capability building
*

Champion a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement

What They're Looking For

Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (Head of, Director, or similar)
*

Strong technical background, ideally within modern cloud-based environments (e.g. Azure, AWS, or GCP)
*

Experience scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
*

Solid understanding of modern software architecture (microservices, APIs, distributed systems)
*

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
*

A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on technical credibility
