Thermal Engineer (Spacecraft,electro-mechanical,cyro) - Boulder

We are working with a mission-based engineering services company hiring 6-8 Thermal Engineers to support an end client on a new U.S. Space Force program in Boulder, CO (onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm).

The role: Basically, any candidate with experience with Space vehicles or machines or Thermal desktop experience would be a good fit. Thermal design and analysis for spacecraft, precision aerospace hardware, cryo systems, and antenna/tactical systems - concept through testing, including thermal modeling (Thermal Desktop, ANSYS, SINDA), heat transfer calcs, and test reporting.

What's needed:

* Active TS-SCI clearance
* Understanding of thermal math modeling using Thermal Desktop, ANSYS Mechanical, CFD, and SINDA software tools.
* Ability to work effectively with customer counterparts.
* Working knowledge of thermal, radiation, and convection.
* Working knowledge and experience using the CAD software Solid Works.
* Experience in spacecraft and/or precision aerospace electro-mechanical, and/or opto-mechanical flight hardware systems, cryogenics systems, antenna communication systems, tactical video systems, components and/or ground support equipment thermal design.
* Demonstrated creativity in thermal engineering design and analysis.
* Knowledge of thermal processes and materials usage.
* Working knowledge of cost and schedule as it applies to Thermal Engineering.
* Experience with space vehicles/systems and/or Thermal Desktop

2-year program (likely extending 2 more years)
Target start: Late September
Rates are competitive:

* Senior Thermal Engineer: $80/hr (Up to $165K)
* Principal: $100/hr (Up to $208K)
* Senior Principal: $120/hr (Up to $250K)
* Chief Engineer: $140/hr

Two-round interview process (initial with services company week of 8/9, 2nd round with end client the week of 8/16) - fast feedback turnaround
