Senior Data Architect - London (Hybrid) - Snowflake - Up to £120,000

A leading organisation undergoing significant investment in its data and cloud capabilities is looking for a Senior Data Architect to help shape and evolve its next-generation data ecosystem.

This is an opportunity to join a growing architecture function responsible for establishing scalable, secure and high-performing platforms that support analytics, operational workloads and real-time data processing across the business.

You'll work closely with engineering, architecture and leadership teams to define technical direction, modernise existing capabilities and enable the delivery of data products at scale.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

* Defining architecture principles, standards and best practices across data platforms
* Designing scalable cloud-based solutions for data integration, storage and consumption
* Supporting the development of modern streaming and event-driven capabilities
* Driving platform reliability, security and performance improvements
* Establishing governance frameworks across data and integration environments
* Supporting automation, release management and engineering excellence initiatives
* Working with stakeholders to understand strategic data requirements
* Contributing to technology roadmaps and platform modernisation programmes
* Supporting the adoption of domain-driven approaches to data ownership and delivery
* Providing technical leadership across complex enterprise initiatives

Technical Environment

Experience in several of the following areas would be beneficial:

* Snowflake
* Kafka or other streaming technologies
* Azure, AWS or GCP
* Kubernetes and container-based platforms
* Data Warehousing and Data Lake technologies
* CI/CD tooling and deployment automation
* Infrastructure as Code
* ETL / ELT frameworks
* API integration and distributed systems
* Data Governance and Metadata Management

What We're Looking For

* Experience designing enterprise-scale data or integration platforms
* Strong architecture and solution design capability
* Experience leading complex cloud transformation initiatives
* Strong understanding of modern data engineering principles
* Background in platform modernisation and cloud adoption
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to influence technical direction and architecture decisions
* Experience operating in Agile delivery environments
