GCP Data Engineer - Stockholm



Location: Stockholm (Hybrid - 2-3 days/week in office)

Language: English (working language)

Salary: 45,000-65,000 SEK/month dependent on experience



About the role:

We're looking for a Data Engineer to help build and evolve a modern, cloud-native data platform powering a large-scale digital consumer product. You'll join a curious and collaborative in-house team, working close to product, analytics, and business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.



This is a hands-on role with real ownership: from data modelling and pipelines to performance, infrastructure, security, and long-term scalability.



What you'll do

* Design, build, and maintain an enterprise data warehouse using dimensional modelling (facts, dimensions, aggregates, star schema).
* Develop and optimize ELT pipelines with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.
* Ensure best practices around data security, privacy, and data integrity.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust data models and analytical solutions.
* Take increasing ownership of key data features and pipelines as you ramp up on the domain, stack, and use cases.



What we're looking for

* Solid experience with data warehousing and ingesting data from multiple sources.
* Strong data modelling skills, including Star Schema and SCD Type II.
* Excellent SQL skills and good working knowledge of Python.
* An analytical mindset and experience building reliable data pipelines for complex problems.
* A collaborative, proactive, and curious team player who balances fast iteration with high quality.
* Good understanding of data integrity, privacy, and governance principles.
