Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced backend or full-stack engineer who wants true technical ownership. In this role, you will take primary responsibility for a core platform that is central to the company's data-driven processes. You will become a key contributor in a small, long-term in-house team focused on building internal expertise and reducing reliance on consultants.

You will work on an advanced real-time matching platform that connects large volumes of user profiles with relevant objects. The system handles high volumes of searches, preferences, and complex data combinations, requiring strong focus on performance, scalability, and stability.

Responsibilities

End-to-end technical ownership of the platform (operations, new development, stability, performance, and security)

Maintain and modernise the existing architecture
*

Backend and infrastructure responsibility
*

Close collaboration with the team on architecture, roadmaps, and technical priorities

Requirements

*

5+ years of solid backend development experience
*

Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
*

Experience with event-driven architecture (e.g. RabbitMQ or similar)
*

Strong experience with PostgreSQL (design, migrations, optimisation)
*

Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
*

Confident working with complex production systems
*

Strong English skills; Norwegian is a plus
*

Interest in AI and machine learning
*

DevOps experience (CI/CD, monitoring, automation)
