Our client is a well-established and growing sporting goods manufacturer/distributor seeking an ERP Administrator to play a critical role in their technology and business transformation initiatives. Position Overview
The ERP Administrator will be responsible for administering, optimizing, and supporting the organization's ERP ecosystem, business applications, databases, reporting tools, and Microsoft technology environment. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, external technology partners, and leadership while helping drive system improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
ERP & Business Systems Administration
* Administer, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize ERP, CRM, and other enterprise business applications.
* Support system integrations, workflows, user security, and business process improvements.
* Play a lead role in the ongoing implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud.
* Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
Vendor & Technology Partner Management
* Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and external managed service providers (MSPs) and software vendors.
* Coordinate system enhancements, issue resolution, upgrades, and support activities.
Database & Data Management
* Maintain database integrity, backups, recovery processes, and performance optimization.
* Develop and support SQL queries, reporting solutions, and data-driven initiatives.
* Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Microsoft Environment Administration
* Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), SharePoint, Teams, and related cloud technologies.
* Monitor system performance, manage updates, and maintain security best practices.
* Coordinate application and infrastructure improvements with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
* Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions utilizing SQL, Power BI, and ERP reporting tools.
* Work closely with business leaders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
* Support strategic decision-making through meaningful data analysis and reporting.
Documentation & Process Improvement
* Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and knowledge-base resources.
* Document system changes, integrations, and support processes.
* Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 7+ years of experience supporting ERP and business applications (ideally Dynamics 365 Business Central, F&O, Infor, or NetSuite)
* Strong experience with ERP implementations, integrations, troubleshooting, and ongoing administration.
* Experience working with hosted/cloud-based business applications.
* Strong SQL and database administration experience.
* Experience developing reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI or similar BI tools.
* Experience coordinating third-party vendors, consultants, and managed service providers.
* Strong understanding of business processes across Finance, Operations, Inventory, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Customer Service.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms.
* Previous involvement in ERP migration or cloud implementation projects.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud technologies, and virtualization environments.
* Experience working with APIs, integrations, and data exchange processes.
* Background supporting manufacturing and distribution organizations.
