    Project Manager - IT / Infrastructure
    Location: Essex (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
    Salary: Up to ÂŁ55,000

    Nigel Frank is working with a well-established Managed Service Provider in Essex to recruit an experienced IT Project Manager. This is a hybrid role, based primarily from the Essex head office, with occasional travel to new and existing client sites across the South East.

    This role focuses on client onboarding, offboarding and IT transition projects, ensuring smooth handover of systems and services with minimal disruption. You'll take ownership of projects from initial assessment through to delivery and closure, working closely with internal technical teams and external stakeholders.

    The Role

    Lead end-to-end IT transition, onboarding and infrastructure projects
    Own project planning, delivery, governance, risk and financial control
    Carry out initial assessments and light technical audits of new client environments as part of onboarding
    Coordinate internal teams, subject matter experts and third-party suppliers
    Manage stakeholders, timelines, budgets and delivery expectations
    Maintain clear project documentation, reporting and RAID logs
    Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards

    What We're Looking For

    Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, ideally within an MSP environment
    Strong experience delivering client onboarding, service transition or infrastructure projects
    Comfortable performing high-level technical audits of new client environments
    Solid understanding of IT systems, including at least three of the following: Microsoft 365 / Office 365 - Cloud technologies - Networking - Server / infrastructure environments - End-user / endpoint technologies
    PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification
    Confident stakeholder management skills, including senior-level contacts
    Strong planning, governance and financial management capability

    Nigel Frank is working with a London-based financial services organisation to recruit an IT Engineer to join a small, specialist technology team. The role supports a distributed workforce and a secure, modern technology environment within a regulated setting.

    This position is hands-on and technically broad, covering end-user platforms, cloud services, infrastructure, and security, with regular engagement across the business.

    Role Summary

    As an IT Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organisation's IT environment. Alongside providing advanced user support, you will contribute to the reliability, security, and scalability of core systems and services.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Acting as a senior escalation point for technical issues across end-user and infrastructure platforms
    *

    Supporting users across multiple regions, ensuring a consistent and resilient IT service
    *

    Building, configuring, and deploying end-user devices, applications, and access controls
    *

    Administering and maintaining cloud and on-premise systems, including monitoring and optimisation
    *

    Participating in a rotational out-of-hours support schedule
    *

    Designing and delivering improvements focused on system stability, security posture, and operational efficiency

    Creating and maintaining technical and operational documentation in line with internal standards

    Required Experience & Technical Skills

    *

    Several years' experience in a hands-on IT engineering or infrastructure-focused role
    *

    Strong experience supporting and engineering Windows 11 desktop environments
    *

    Solid administration experience across Microsoft 365, including identity, device management, and collaboration services
    *

    Practical knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualised environments
    *

    Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and security controls
    *

    Experience working with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions

    Nice to Haves

    *

    Exposure to vendor risk management or third-party assurance processes
    *

    Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Power Automate, or similar tools)
    *

    Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, Security, Networking)
    *

    Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Purview, DLP, or information protection technologies
