    An industry-leading research, data & insights organisation are looking for an Automation Quality Assurance Tester, to join their growing IT team. This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in their Central London office to collaborate with the wider team, and 3 days working from home.

    The focus of this role is ensuring the quality of their various products, platforms and applications - and with data being absolutely central to their product offering, we're ideally looking for a QA professional with experience working on customer-facing web-based applications and data-driven platforms, including strong SQL knowledge.

    You'll be responsible for automating tests where possible, building up a relevant regression pack for rapid execution, using Selenium, TypeScript/JavaScript and .NET. We're also ideally looking for experience with Angular application and Jest, protractor framework.

    You'll work with members of various project teams and developers, across the entire agile development lifecycle, to ensure the development of testable applications and data ingestion pipelines. You'll create test plans, define and execute test cases, create test exist reports and recommendations, and strive to identify and track bugs through to resolution.

    I'm looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Newcastle (hybrid-working), who truly recognise the value of leveraging their data to better understand their customers and to drive business growth.

    In this role you'll join a team of Data Engineers, responsible for the ongoing development of their cutting-edge Azure Data Platform - working across the end-to-end data lifecycle from architecting data ingestion solutions into their Data Lake, designing robust ETL solutions to integrate various data sources, designing data models for analytics capabilities, through to deploying Logic Apps and Function apps for process automation.

    As a Senior in the team, you will guide and mentor more Junior colleagues, and will advocate for best-practice and process improvement wherever possible.

    This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Data Engineering professional to join an organisation who are truly investing in their data - with a real appetite to leverage the latest ML and AI capabilities, there couldn't be better time to join the team.

    Requirements

    * Prior experience leading and managing Data Engineering teams
    * Strong SQL and data modelling experience
    * Experience designing ETL processes
    * Strong understanding of Data Warehousing principles
    * Experience with some Azure technologies such as: Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps
    * Excellent communication and requirements gathering skills
