They are seeking a Business Analyst who will enhance process efficiency, optimize data workflows, and strengthen operational decisionâmaking across the organization. This role combines business analysis, cost accounting support, ERP expertise, and crossâfunctional collaboration within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Position Overview
The Business Analyst will support financial operations, maintain internal controls, and help drive the organization's digital transformation, including participation in an ERP migration to Microsoft Dynamics. This position plays a key role in connecting finance, IT, engineering, manufacturing, and sales to improve data integrity and operational performance.
Key areas of focus include:
* Accounting support for monthly ERP close, ensuring accuracy and consistency
* Maintaining inventory controls and product costing integrity
* Overseeing and improving internal controls related to costing, inventories, and ERP workflows
* Supporting ERP data inputs and functionality, including migration activities
* Acting as a cross-functional liaison between finance, IT, production, engineering, and sales
* Enabling reporting and analytics for operational and financial teams
Key Responsibilities
* Costing & Accounting
* Assist Sales and Engineering with costing for new product development
* Maintain accuracy of the cost accounting system and related internal controls
* Support monthly ERP close activities, reconciliations, validations, and reporting
* Close sales, job costing, and inventory modules at monthâend and yearâend
* Assist with journal entries and financial audit preparation
* Inventory & Controls
* Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle count and reconciliation programs
* Input and reconcile quantity adjustments within ERP
* Partner with management to address and improve internal control gaps
* Monitor and report daily/monthly margin changes and cost deviations
* ERP & Data Systems
* Support ERP reporting needs and contribute to process optimizations
* Serve as a subject matter resource for ERP workflows and data structures
* Provide ERP user support, documentation, and training across departments
* Support automation initiatives and enhancements to business systems
* Actively participate in ERP migration to Microsoft Dynamics
* Analytics & Reporting
* Translate data into meaningful operational and financial insights
* Coordinate with customer service and production to ensure accurate invoicing
* Provide weekly status updates on initiatives to management
* Build, refine, or improve reports and dashboards (Power BI preferred)
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a business discipline with a quantitative focus
* Strong analytical and problemâsolving capabilities
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
* Ability to navigate and understand ERP workflows and data structures
* Experience collaborating with IT, finance, engineering, production, and customer service
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to propose mitigation strategies
* Strong project coordination skills and ability to prioritize effectively
* ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
* Preferred: SQL skills, Power BI experience, familiarity with AI tools
