Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Product Director to lead the strategic development and execution of their energy-focused software portfolio. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping product vision, driving market alignment, and ensuring delivery excellence across multidisciplinary teams.

The Product Director will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and commercial stakeholders to ensure the company's products solve real-world challenges in energy operations, deliver measurable value, and maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving industry. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, customer empathy, and operational discipline, with a strong understanding of SaaS product development and energy domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities

* Define and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with business goals and energy market trends
* Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers across multiple product lines
* Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous improvement
* Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Data teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions
* Engage with energy clients and stakeholders to gather insights and validate product decisions
* Drive product discovery, experimentation, and agile delivery practices
* Ensure alignment between product roadmaps and commercial objectives
* Monitor product performance and usage metrics to inform prioritization and iteration
* Represent the product function in executive leadership and industry forums

Qualifications

Required:

* 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a senior or director-level role
* Proven track record of leading successful SaaS products, ideally in B2B or industrial domains
* Strong understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, and data-driven applications
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working in agile environments and scaling product teams
* Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution

Preferred:

* Experience in the energy, oil & gas, or renewables sectors
* Familiarity with asset management, emissions tracking, or operational analytics
* Background in UX research or service design
* Experience incorporating AI or machine learning into product offerings
