Senior Accountant

Location: Kansas City, MO

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This role is ideal for a driven, adaptable accounting professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and contribute across a broad range of accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and oversee general ledger activities in accordance with GAAP
*

Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports
*

Assist with year-end tax preparation and audit support
*

Manage and reconcile the inventory accounting cycle
*

Support accounting operations across multiple business functions
*

Partner closely with the Controller and accounting team on reporting and analysis

Systems & Tools

*

Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience strongly preferred
*

Candidates with other ERP system experience will also be considered

Qualifications

*

3+ years of accounting or finance experience required (5 years ideal)
*

CPA designation preferred
*

1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred
*

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
*

Ability to move quickly between tasks while maintaining accuracy
