Functional Architect (Microsoft Dynamics CE/ Integrations) - Sydney

We're partnering with a high-growth, globally expanding Microsoft-focused consultancy to hire a Functional Architect to play a critical leadership role on a major enterprise transformation program.

This is a unique opportunity to join a business that has scaled rapidly (20 → 250+ employees globally in the past year), combining startup energy with the delivery maturity of a top-tier consulting environment.

The Role

This is the most senior functional role on a flagship client program. You'll act as the bridge between business and technology, owning solution design from a functional and architectural perspective.

Working alongside a Technical Lead (who will report into you), you'll define solution patterns, integration approaches, and data strategies, ensuring outcomes are fit-for-purpose and aligned to business goals.

The program is a multi-phase transformation:

Phase 1 (current - Nov): Sales & Marketing

Key Responsibilities

*

Lead functional architecture and solution design across a complex Microsoft ecosystem
*

Define data models, migration strategies, and integration patterns
*

Evaluate solution options and clearly articulate trade-offs, risks, and recommendations
*

Collaborate closely with technical teams while maintaining a business-first perspective
*

Act as the Functional Lead across the program, guiding delivery and decision-making
*

Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions

What We're Looking For

*

Proven experience as a Functional Solution Architect / Senior Functional Lead within Microsoft Dynamics environments
*

Background in consulting is essential
*

Likely career path: Functional Consultant → Senior Consultant → Architect (or techno-functional evolution)
*

Strong understanding of:

*

Data structures, data migration, and integration patterns
*

Microsoft integrations stack (e.g. Logic Apps and related services.

*

Ability to operate without heavy technical depth, but confidently guide technical direction and decisions
*

A pragmatic, hands-on approach-someone who can own outcomes and get things done
