D365 Finance Architect

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced D365 Finance Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions. This role is critical to driving large-scale D365 transformations, aligning finance and accounting requirements with scalable technical architecture, and ensuring seamless integrations across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end D365 Finance & Operations architecture for complex implementations and transformations
*

Serve as the solution authority for finance-related modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Budgeting, Cost Accounting, etc.)
*

Design and oversee integrations between D365 F&O and upstream/downstream systems (CRM, banking, payroll, tax, reporting, data warehouses)
*

Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT leadership to translate business requirements into scalable D365 solutions
*

Define architectural standards, data models, security frameworks, and integration patterns
*

Provide technical and functional leadership across implementation teams, including vendors and SI partners
*

Guide system upgrades, optimizations, and post-go-live enhancements
*

Ensure solutions align with accounting principles, compliance requirements, and best practices

Required Qualifications

*

10+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics AX and/or D365 Finance & Operations implementations
*

Proven experience as a D365 Solution or Finance Architect on large-scale, enterprise deployments
*

Strong background in architecture and system integrations (APIs, Data Entities, Power Platform, Azure services)
*

Demonstrated leadership in at least one D365 Finance transformation or modernization initiative
*

Deep understanding of accounting and finance processes, including financial close, reporting, and compliance
*

Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and finance stakeholders
*

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

*

Experience with global or multi-entity D365 deployments
*

Familiarity with Azure Integration Services, Power BI, and Power Platform
*

Prior consulting or system integrator experience
*

CPA, CMA, or Microsoft certifications (a plus)
