Overview:
My client is looking for consultants with mid-senior level competency to step in immediately, with little Onboarding, and make an instant impact to provide more structure within their AI team.
You need to bring serious value as a Machine Learning Specialist and Data Scientist. Firstly, help improve Onboarding/ training, and then be pivotal in bridging together data analysis, machine learning, and business strategy.
All in all, you will build intelligent solutions that drive decision-making and automation across the organisation!
Roles and Responsibilities:

Model Development & Deployment: Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for classification, regression, recommendation, or clustering problems using real-world datasets.
*
Data Analysis & Feature Engineering: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), clean and reprocess large datasets, and create meaningful features to improve model performance.
*
Algorithm Optimisation: Optimise models using techniques like cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, ensemble methods, or neural networks.
*
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, analysts, and engineers to define data-driven strategies and align on business goals.
*
Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest research in AI/ML, evaluate emerging tools/technologies, and apply them to real-world problems.
*
Documentation & Reporting: Document methodologies, model assumptions, and performance metrics. Communicate findings through reports, dashboards, or visualisations.
Skills and Qualifications:
*
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
*
3+ years of experience in applied machine learning or data science roles.
*
Proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch) and SQL.
*
Strong understanding of statistical modeling, supervised/unsupervised learning, and evaluation metrics.
*
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker, Airflow) is a plus.
*
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
