The average Microsoft Office 365 Technical Consultant salary in the USA is $82,400 for a junior-level professional, while mid- and senior-level Technical Consultants earn around $120,000 and $134,300 respectively.
Nigel Frank’s 2018 Microsoft Technology for Business Salary Survey revealed that Office 365 Technical Consultants are earning more than they did in 2017, with salaries across all experience levels.
Office 365 remains a key product for businesses, with 73% of End User respondents indicating that their employer uses Office 365 in some capacity; up from 66% in 2017. This is indicative of Microsoft customers’ increasing move towards cloud computing—67% of respondents reported that their employer had migrated to the cloud in the past 12 months, an increase of 9% on last year.
The growth of Microsoft cloud products is also having a direct effect on the way Office professionals are working. The survey also shows a trend towards increased remote working for Microsoft professionals, with 59% of survey respondents working from home at least one day a week, compared to 47% in 2017.
