Microsoft Convergence 2015 EMEA: AX sessions to catch

By Kyrus Keenan Wescott

Microsoft Convergence 2015 EMEA is an annual staple for every Microsoft Dynamics application user.

This year it promises not to disappoint as more visitors are expected than ever before with new features added to the line-up, such as intimate fireside chats where you can make more connections with people within the Microsoft business community.

The big theme at this year’s opening keynote address is Digital transformation in the age of the customer which takes place on Monday 30 November 15:30 – 17:00.

The digital revolution is entering a new age that presents unprecedented challenges for all businesses. Digital tools are invading the business environment, evoking significant changes in the way we work, communicate, and sell. This keynote address examines how organizations often lack alignment about what “digital transformation” means and what it takes to get there. This keynote sees a mix of executives, customers and technology thought leader heavyweights come together:

Spearheading the keynote presentation is Jean-Philippe Courtois. A French national, Jean-Philippe rose through the ranks of Microsoft accumulating 27 years of experience. In 2009, Courtois joined European Commission President José Manuel Barroso in Brussels to discuss how to improve European creativity and innovation. He is responsible for strategic planning, operations at a global level and programs for growth for the developing and emerging markets.

Joining Jean-Phillipe in this opening keynote address is Microsoft’s Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Capossela. Chris leads Microsoft’s global product marketing, advertising, brand, research and communications functions for businesses and consumers.

Also in the arena is acclaimed Author, and serial Entrepreneur Peter Hinssen, one of Europe’s thought leaders on disruptive innovation. Peter collaborates with organizations who want to understand and leverage how digital has disrupted entire industries and business models.

Finally, Simeon Lewis, Head of IT at the World Society for the Protection of Animals, a global Animal Welfare organization. World Animal Protection has consolidated its disparate finance and operations processes, by adopting Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Office 365, and no longer relies on a disconnected collection of spreadsheets to manage its work.
