Are you familiar with Databricks? Or are you a data professional with special interest in learning Databricks? We are strengthening our Databricks competences and want you to join our cozy and caring Connected Data unit with over 200 data professionals. With us you will become a true Databricks master!

Based on Apache Spark, Databricks is used to process large workloads of data that allows collaboration between data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts to derive actionable insights with one-click setup, streamlined workflows, and an interactive workspace.

Data is no longer property of operational systems or reporting, but they are seeing the convergence of different systems and viewpoints to data. About you

A suitable background for this position could be e.g. Data Scientist, Data Engineer or even Mathematician. Or maybe you are DevOps professional, Full Stack or Back-End Developer with experience in data integration or databases. The key requirement is that you want to scale up your thinking and knowledge to serve even wider set of data use cases.

Strong people skills and the courage to challenge customers are essential as a consultant. Our values caring, easy-going, courage, and passion guides everything we do, and we hope these resonates with you as well.

You can work remotely, with customers or in our offices all over Finland. The readiness for occasional travel is an advantage, as we have customers and operations in addition to Finland (e.g. in Sweden and Germany). However, traveling is not an absolute requirement for us.


Azure Specific:

* Azure (other cloud platform knowledge is a bonus)
* Snowflake (other cloud db solution knowledge is a bonus)
* Cloud DW automation tools (e.g. Agile Data Engine, dbt, Matillion)
* Data modelling (especially Data Vault 2.0)
* Python (or another programming language)
* Data Bricks


* Strong understanding and experience of cloud ecosystems: Azure, AWS, GCP
* Ability and experience of building, automating and operating data platforms, data warehouses and data pipelines
* Very good data processing skills and typically this means that the person is strong in SQL and in Python
* At least some knowledge or experience of data modelling (e.g. dimensional modelling, Data Vault 2.0 modelling)
* The way of working, which takes data security into account
* Knows and can utilize DevOps / DataOps culture in practical manner
* Experience of data governance, master data management and data catalogue projects is a big plus but not necessary.
* Fluent English is required, Finnish skills is a big plus


* Strong understanding and experience of cloud ecosystems: Azure, AWS, GCP
* Ability and experience of designing architectures for information management and utilization of data
* Ability and experience of complex data modelling (e.g. dimensional modelling, Data Vault 2.0 modelling)
* Strong data governance and data security expertise and best practices
* Master data management and data catalogue skills
* Data Architects should have "can do" and "hands on" attitude
* Fluent English is required, Finnish skills is a big plus
* Technologies and tools vary a lot but some of them are quite common in the landscape, for example:
* WhereScape
* Semarchy
* Snowflake

Plus all data processing and storing related managed services that the above mentioned cloud ecosystems provide. For example in AWS there are RedShift, Glue, Athena. In Azure there are Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks. In GCP there is BigQuery.
