We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist!

You will be a key part of the Oslo-based Nordics team, leading a range of exciting analytics & AI projects, and mentoring some of the brightest talent

You will provide complex and creative analytical solutions to customers in a range of industries - such as energy, retail, education, finance, healthcare, and government, among many others.

Although you will be Oslo-based, you will collaborate with teams across the Nordics and Europe and larger, international projects, ensuring clients receive the same level of service and competence across the board.

You will directly lead a team of 5 data scientists, and take an active role in hiring new members over the coming months.

Outside of your technical responsibilities, you will delegate and follow up with your colleagues, provide support & mentorship, and encourage a cross-functional & creative working environment

You will bring a level of expertise where you can actively lead and participate in client meetings, understand their problems, and propose the most efficient approach.

The preference for delivering end-to-end solutions means you will have a full understanding of the project and deliverables, as well as the ability to broaden your skillset exploring new technologies - knowledge sharing, curiosity and experimentation is encouraged at all levels!

Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years experience within data science

  • Proficient in Python, R, SAS or similar

  • Experience with ML, particularly in the cloud

  • An academic background in ML, AI, Computer Science or Statistics is preferred, or extensive industry experience

  • Lead or managerial experience is not essential
