Support Engineer - £55,000 - £70,000 - London (REMOTE)

We are looking for a Support Engineer to join a growing organisation with a Global presence in the Finance Industry. We are looking for someone to come in an prioritise, investigate and troubleshoot GP applications issues - especially during APAC and EMEA hours. You will be joining a business that puts their customers at the heart of everything that they do, which has enabled them to build deeply valued, long-term relationships based on integrity, transparency, and trust

Role and Responsibility:

  • Monitoring income tickets and assessing what to prioritise accordingly

  • Resolving technically complex issues and prioritising with the customer

  • Creating and driving permanent solutions/improvements after identifying route cause

  • Ensuring support readiness prior to deployment of any change and production environment

  • Creating, maintaining and sharing technology knowledge documentation in knowledge-base repository

  • Taking part in on-call rotation with other team members

Key skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science (or related fields)

  • Some past/current experience with .NET/C#

  • Practical experience with writing SQL queries

  • Practical scripting experience: ideally Powershell

  • Strong experience with JIRA, Confluence or similar bug-tracking tools

  • Good understanding with Object-Oriented Design and Development

  • Good understanding / some experience with CI/CD pipeline concepts

  • Strong practical experience with troubleshooting

  • Strong analytical experience

  • Strong time-management and organisational skills

  • Great communication skills: verbal and written

  • Strong commercial awareness
