The development team are not an 'IT muscle', they are part of the business and solve problems together with the business.
They need for the developers to understand the challenge/have this kind of passion for understanding the problem.
Knowledge about craftmanship is also very important. For example when they are working with payment solutions they need to be 100% accurate and other areas they can get away with just being 80% accurate, so have a good understanding of the principle of good code, not everything needs to be 100% perfect!
They also need someone who is self-organized they are working in an autonomous team and working a lot together however they are expecting you to drive different parts and owning your space. Someone who is keen on solving things is essential, they work from the mock ups to running it live so if whether you prefer the frontend or the databases, you are more than just a standard developer and you have a hunger for learning!
