Job Overview: The role of a Business Systems Analyst involves providing business analysis services and assisting users with Logistics and Sales Operations business applications. This position emphasizes close collaboration with the business to deeply understand customer's business needs, processes, services, roadmap, and operational context. The focus is on documenting required capabilities to address business challenges using technical solutions.

The Business Systems Analyst will take the lead in developing requirements by examining business processes and systems to identify and address operational efficiencies and improvements. Acting as a liaison between internal business and technical stakeholders, this role involves analyzing, documenting, communicating, and validating business and system requirements for platform applications. Additionally, the role includes integrating new and existing internal applications with the back-end ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (F&O). Responsibilities span from conducting tests and debugging application changes to assisting in complex projects alongside project managers.

Tasks encompass eliciting requirements through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. The Business Systems Analyst is expected to identify effective solutions for software system issues, collaborate with functional leaders to transform new requirements into system designs and implementations, create and maintain workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on internal stakeholder needs, manage ongoing support requests and administrative requirements, produce training materials and user documentation, train new users on business applications, monitor user adoption rates and take necessary actions, proactively collaborate with both external and internal customers to identify technical and functional requirements, collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs, act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, conduct testing and debugging of software changes, ensure timely identification and resolution of issues, work with business unit personnel to communicate changes to the development team, review and refine requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations related to proposed solutions, develop functional specifications and system design specifications, and deliver well-organized presentations.

Required Skills: The ideal candidate should possess a thorough understanding of interpreting customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements. Ability to apply general organizational knowledge of business and systems processes for problem analysis is vital. A solid grasp of application programming, databases, and system design is essential. Proficiency in technology, including office applications, sales force automation, data imports, exports, record merging, and report generation, is required. Exposure to business applications in logistics, warehouse management, and sales operations is beneficial.

A practical understanding of IT business fundamentals, such as application lifecycle development (Software Development Life Cycle - SDLC), and project management, is desirable. The candidate should exhibit the ability to lead and negotiate business solutions that balance technical capability, cost, time, and business needs. Demonstrating confidence and extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices in addressing business problems is crucial. The ability to handle multiple initiatives concurrently, strong leadership skills, and the capability to generate team enthusiasm are essential attributes. Working independently with users to conceptualize ideas under the guidance of project managers, showcasing strong analytical, organizational, and product management skills, tactful communication of sensitive information, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative. Professional interaction with diverse groups, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts, requires finesse. Understanding of internet, intranet, extranet, and client/server architectures, pushing creative boundaries beyond established industry norms and client perspectives, comprehending the interaction between legacy and web-based systems, knowledge of major Query Structured Languages, and experience with ERP systems are all preferred qualifications.

Required Experience: The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics or ERP application support/consulting.
