The Field Service Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the installation, start‑up, commissioning, and ongoing optimal performance of our client's equipment at customer sites. This position leads on‑site activities, conducts detailed inspections, and ensures systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with specifications.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Lead on‑site start‑up, commissioning, and optimization of mechanical and electrical systems
* Perform detailed equipment checks, verify installation accuracy, and ensure operational readiness
* Analyze performance data collected during testing to ensure peak efficiency
* Deliver both hands‑on and classroom training for customer teams using structured training materials
* Diagnose and repair issues involving client equipment
* Provide engineering teams with detailed field markups for as‑built documentation
* Oversee contractors, vendors, and project teams to keep projects on schedule
* Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot technical challenges, and uphold rigorous quality standards
* Prepare concise technical reports, including punch lists and project closeout documentation
Required Qualifications
* Background in engineering, technical services, or a related field (degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience)
* Prior field service experience working with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and high‑speed rotating equipment
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
* Experience with control panels, motor starters, AC/DC drives, and instrumentation
* Experience working with programmable controllers and operator interface terminals
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support strong customer relationships
* Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities to ensure smooth operations
* Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%), including long‑term domestic and international assignments
