Job Title: Vice-President (VP), Controller

Location: Remote, Chicago Based Company

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000

Core Skills: Microsoft Navision and Business Central proficiency required

The Vice-President (VP), Controller is a vital member of the senior management team and plays a pivotal role in developing Mortgage Connect's financial management strategy. They contribute to the organization's strategic goals with a primary focus on leveraging their expertise in Microsoft Navision and Business Central. This role provides leadership and coordination in financial planning, recordkeeping, and ensures that company accounting procedures and reporting adhere to generally-accepted accounting principles. The VP, Controller will work remotely, overseeing and managing financial operations with a salary range of $140,000 - $160,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Prepare Financial Analysis for Contract Negotiations and Investment Decisions.
2 Ensure Compliance with Local, State, and Federal Financial Reporting Requirements.
3 Oversee Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements and Ensure their Accuracy and Timeliness.
4 Ensure Complete and Up-to-Date Operating Procedures for all Accounting and Financial Controls.
5 Ensure Proper Preparation for Annual Financial Audit in coordination with the Chief Financial Officer.
6 Communicate Business Plans and Procedures to all Staff Management.
7 Participate in the Selection of Staff with the Human Resources Department.
8 Evaluate Staff Regarding Performance and Quality Standards.
9 Conduct Salary and Performance Reviews of Departmental Staff.
10 May Develop Business Requirements, Approve Specifications, Document Procedures and Processes, Test Transactions, and Assist in Implementation as Team Leader/Project Manager on Cross-Functional IT/Business Teams Developing Financial Systems or Financial Accounting Transactions and Controls within Administrative Systems.
11 Train and delegate general accounting processes to Assistant Controller and Senior Accounting Team.
12 Additional Duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
* CPA highly desirable
* 7-10 Years' Experience in Internal/External Auditing, Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Compliance
* Proficiency in Microsoft Navision and Business Central, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and MAS500
* Strong Customer Service Focus
* Clear Verbal and Written Communication Skills
* Strong Attention to Detail, Including Data Entry Proficiency
* Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment and Meet Deadlines
* Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Problem-Solving Mindset with Ability to Multitask
* Familiarity with Computers
