Software Developer - Up to £70,000+Benefits

This role is with a leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charities.

The Solution Delivery Team consists of a combination of internal remote situated and overseas staff and sits within the Digital Transformation strand, the team environment is very friendly and supportive. They work to identify issues and provide technical solutions, utilizing both off the shelf products or in-house developed solutions as required. Internal solutions are built primarily using C# and T-SQL code & Azure tech stack as required.

Role & Responsibilities

* You will work alongside our existing Lead Developer to assist in the design of new systems and creating low level design specifications which you, along with a team of developers will implement.
* You will need to carry out regular code reviews and provide feedback, support and mentoring to other team members, as required.
* You will be using the latest technologies and cloud-based development.
* You will ensure all assigned development work, upgrades, and support requests are dealt with to agreed levels of service and customer satisfaction.
* Supporting and assisting other staff within the Solution Delivery team and the IT department will also be a part of this role.

Skills & Experience

* 5+ year's .Net development experience, preferably using agile methodology
* Experience of Azure DevOps, SDLC and AGILE, desirable but not essential for the right candidate
* Ability to understand complex problems and break then down into a set of user requirements
* A good understanding of information systems concepts and practice and the software development life cycle
* Experience of leading others, providing direction, and monitoring/following up progress against targets
* A customer focused individual who can communicate at both the technical and non-technical level
* A self-starter with evidence of analytic ability and attention to detail
* Someone who is confident to work with an overseas development team, experience of this in a previous role is desirable
* Experience in managing projects from start to finish, ideally on a broad spectrum of project
* A desire to move towards cloud-based resources
* Ideally holds relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. Microsoft Professional Developer certificate)
