Coordinate development of short and long-term plans for IT security and communications.
Maintain awareness of trends in technology, especially of those with security impact, suggest revisions to IT accordingly.
Identify and track mission critical IT infrastructure vulnerabilities and possible mitigation.
Develop and revise technology policies, standards, and procedures, including security, business continuity, data and system backups, purchasing and communications, research and implement IT risk and control programs.
Build and lead MC Machinery's Cybersecurity Incident Response Team, coordinate responses to security breaches and necessary mitigation.
Provide subject matter expertise for information security and contribute to projects involving communication, data storage or access. Process and document access requests to secured data and applications. Follow up with documented revocation when needed.
Evaluate and review current information governance processes in order to develop standardized practices across locations, consistent with appropriate compliance and requirements, to improve efficiency and adherence to secure data management
Monitor DLP, maintain access controls for data stored in the cloud, end user systems, MMS locations, and especially HQ data center.
Meet with HR to support revision of policy and manuals for promotion of appropriate security guidelines to personnel.
Support development and maintenance of best practices for records information management, electronically stored information and information governance operations, including providing input on the use of relevant technology solutions.
Identify locations of unsecured data on the network, organize and secure or migrate data, as appropriate, to official repositories or prepare for disposition.
Lead technology training relating to cybersecurity and communications. May utilize and manage outside resources for materials and actual training.
Manage the day-to-day operations of telecommunications services (including oversight and hands-on duties) across the organization for (telephone, voicemail, mobile, video conferencing)
Analyze and report on communication infrastructure, Call Center usage, efficiency, and health. Recommend and implement improvements based on that information including ensuring high availability and 24/7 monitoring of the communications infrastructure.
Monitor and provide status, notification, alerting for security protection activity (firewalls, network, endpoint protection, technology patching, email defense, third party services).
In conjunction with vendors and escalating when necessary, provide troubleshooting for technical problems including end-user support for communications related hardware and software issues.
Support the AVAYA IP Office telephone system, Call Center, and E911 capabilities as well as A/V and collaboration (Teams, Zoom, etc.) concerning administration, optimizing configuration, hardware and software upgrades, troubleshooting, and reporting which includes documenting systems and operations, inventory, software licenses, equipment warranties, vendor and related circuit information.
Along with the rest of IT Staff, research and test new technologies to meet organizational needs, then facilitates implementation and documentation of optimal solutions.
Manage appropriate technology vendor relationships with due diligence process, quote comparisons, and account reviews under areas of responsibility.
Execute responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Mitsubishi principles statement and emphasizes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Assist with the preparation of the security and communication aspects of the IT budget, providing resource forecasting and ongoing budget updates.
Perform additional related duties as required or assigned.
