* Minimum 5 years consulting experience (practical work experience with regards to operating in an Microsoft Consulting environment and working with Dynamic Operations / AX / Dynamic 365)
* Experience in Production, Master Planning and Costing
* Relevant D365 F&O certifications( MB920: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP); MB330: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management)

PURPOSE STATEMENT

An Solutions consultant is an experienced professional who provides expert advice to organisations on how best to use our solutions in achieving their business objectives and is actively involved with the clients in implementing these solutions. As external consultants, your expertise is provided to clients on a project basis so you will engage with multiple and changing clients throughout your career with us you may even work on different client projects simultaneously. A project can last days, weeks or months. A flexible attitude to working patterns is essential as travel to clients and working on multiple clients / projects is common place. Whilst on projects, consultants are mainly based on the client site with a minimum amount of time spent at the office.

The Principal Consultants role is to match business needs with technology. They are responsible for the ownership of the requirements processes as they work with key project stakeholders and users on what they want from a new solution. This critical role provides a varied work experience covering the business analysis and implementation of solutions. This role entails strong leadership and mentorship, problem solving, depth and breadth of analysis and innovation skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

An Principal Consultant is responsible for matching business needs with technology in the following manner:

* Applies the core fundamentals of the project requirements defined by the customer and drives definition of business, technical, and architectural requirements, and recognizes any inconsistencies, assumptions, and critical elements that must be considered in an Enterprise solution.
* Responsible for defining the technical solution blueprint for the Microsoft Dynamics solution (addressing all high-level business and technical requirements) included in the Customer proposal; participating with both functional and technical specialists in the Fit/Gap analysis.
* Ability to understand the high level business requirements (Industry, Business model technology landscape)

* Demonstrates experience in use of common software implementation methodologies, including an understanding of Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step; understands and applies relevant problem solving frameworks and techniques to client engagement and internal projects.
* Defines the functionalities, use cases, interfaces, and/or load scenarios for which a POC may be needed, and outlines any prototypes as required.
* Understand the Microsoft product stack so as to provide a complete solution offering. Product stack includes MS SharePoint, MS SQL, MS BizTalk, MS Office, MS .NET, Azure Cloud.
* Contributes to the scope management, risk management, meaning identification, evaluation and mitigation plan.
* Helps drive the work estimation to realize the implementation of the proposed solution.
* Interacts with stakeholders in the IT and business groups to provide the engineering view of the users' vision regarding the structure and function of the system, as well as the areas in which the system must be able to evolve.
* Develops the integration strategy, if required, following fundamental architectural concepts and in accordance with customers requirements and constraints, to ensure that Microsoft solutions and customers data sources are appropriately integrated.
* Plans and oversees the execution of the User Acceptance test in collaboration with the project manager and gathers early user feedback on the solution from key customer stakeholders.
* Validates that the solution will satisfy the customers requirements after a POC or UAT.
* Supports the Implementation Team through the development and implementation phase of the project to handle solution oriented topics.
* Demonstrates strong qualitative analytic capabilities, particularly in relevant strategy formulation areas such as client, industry, and management issues/challenges.
* Demonstrates growing knowledge base regarding current issues and trends, key drivers, and their impacts in relevant industries and Microsoft technologies.
* Demonstrates ability to plan and manage engagement work and allocate resources appropriately under time, quality and budget constraints.
* Contributes to company growth and revenue generation through identification and proactive pursuit of new revenue opportunities.
* Works collaboratively with practice leadership team to grow, develop and enhance solution best practices, tools and methods, and intellectual property
* Demonstrates in-depth knowledge within focus area and relevant modules
* Displays understanding of how the different focus areas and modules link with one another
* Guide and Mentor Senior Consultants, Consultant and Junior Consultants on various projects

* Effectively guide and lead consultants on the project

* Escalate any issues timeously and clearly;

* Ensure discrete handling of all business information, particularly where confidential information is concerned;

* Communicate with immediate manager, People Manager, other company department heads and employees, co-workers, clients and other individuals to co-ordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, resolve problems or give / receive advice /direction;

* Administration: maintain an updated Microsoft Office Outlook calendar; completion of any required administration timeously (e.g. response on performance reviews): weekly timesheets, etc;

* Travel locally, as required, to conduct the company's business.
