Job Description: System Engineer: Microsoft Messaging Expert

Role & Responsibilities

* Install, configure, migrate, operate, and maintain messaging infrastructure
* Execute customer projects within the Microsoft environment
* Provide remote and on-site customer support
* Continuously share knowledge with the service desk
* Develop concepts and documentation

Skills & Qualifications

* Completed IT training as a system technician EFZ or equivalent
* Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate (MS-203) is a bonus
* Higher computer science training (HF/FH) is advantageous
* Fluent in German with good English proficiency



Skills and Expertise:

* Windows Server 2016 and above
* Proficiency in messaging infrastructure setup and migrations
* Extensive expertise in "Microsoft Exchange" including Exchange Server 2016/2019 on-premise, Exchange Hybrid, and Exchange Online
* Strong knowledge of "Microsoft Outlook" including client troubleshooting, cache mode, autodiscover, and GPOs
* Familiarity with "Mail Security/Anti-Spam" solutions, with experience in products like Exchange Online Protection, Barracuda E-Mail Security Gateway, and SeppMail
* Active Directory skills encompassing LDAP, GPOs, DNS, and Kerberos, with knowledge of Azure Active Directory Connect (AADC)
* Experience with migration tools such as BitTitan and/or Quest is a plus
* Knowledge of "Mail Security and Compliance/Archiving" solutions including onboard medium, archive mailboxes, in-place hold, litigation hold, eDiscovery, and Defender, as well as Barracuda Mail Archiver
* Proficiency in PowerShell
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365, especially in Identity Management (MFA, Conditional Access, PIM) and Microsoft Teams
