Job Description: Data Engineer (Swedish Speaking) - Stockholm
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team for a fixed-term contract of initially 6 months. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our SaaS migration project to Snowflake, supporting our client in the financial sector. Your expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and SaaS will be vital in ensuring a successful migration and seamless data integration. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and work in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, design data models, and define migration strategies.
Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes to move data from various sources to Snowflake, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
Design and implement data pipelines to support real-time and batch data processing using Snowflake's architecture.
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data while adhering to best practices for performance and efficiency.
Work closely with Data Architects to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency throughout the migration process.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve any issues that arise during migration.
Collaborate with the client's technical team to ensure alignment with their objectives and requirements.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the team's technical capabilities.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Swedish language (both written and verbal) is essential.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with experience in a SaaS migration project.
Strong expertise in Snowflake, including data warehousing concepts, architecture, and best practices.
Solid understanding of SQL and database design principles.
Experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines using tools such as Snowflake Data Pipelines or similar.
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
Experience in the financial sector or similar regulated environments is a plus.
