Job Title: Systems Administrator

Position Overview: As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the company's IT systems, ensuring seamless operations across both Windows and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Windows and Linux support within an Active Directory (AD) environment, proficiency in virtualization using VMware, and a strong background in network support.

Responsibilities:

Windows and Linux Support:

* Provide day-to-day support for Windows and Linux systems within an Active Directory environment.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and user access.

Virtualization (VMWare):

* Manage and maintain virtualized environments using VMWare technologies.
* Optimize virtual infrastructure for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
* Implement and manage virtual servers, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.

*

Network Support:

* Administer and maintain the company's network infrastructure.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement network upgrades and enhancements.

*

Security and Compliance:

* Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
* Ensure systems compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

*

Documentation and Training:

* Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
* Provide training and support to end-users on system-related tasks.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
* Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on Windows and Linux environments.

Technical Skills:

* Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
* Experience with Active Directory administration and group policy management.
* Strong expertise in virtualization technologies, specifically VMWare.
* Solid understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, and VPNs.

*

Certifications:

* Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or equivalent will be a strong asset.

*

Communication and Collaboration:

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

*

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
