Azure Data Engineer | Nordic Leading Bank | Stockholm, hybrid working
The highly skilled data team at this leading Swedish Bank is hoping to expand their team with an equally skilled Data Engineer.
Over the past couple of years, they have been perfecting their Azure environment to modernise their data platform to keep up with the overall innovation of the company. Their mission is to utilise modern tools and technologies to further enhance the banking services that they offer their customers.
The data team works in line with the company's goals and business challenges, however there is also an element of using your own initiative to find new ways to enhance the data platform and continue to further support a data-driven mentality.
As a Data Engineer you should have a knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, developing integrations - you will play an important role in these and the self-built frameworks they have for data charging and testing. You will also be involved in requirements analysis, system architecture and enhancing the Azure enviro.
The tech stack is predominantly Microsoft using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Kafka, Python, Java and Power BI.
It's important for the team to have a strong understanding of automation as this is something that runs through the business and their internal team - an eye for automation in their environment and clever adoption of build and release pipelines is something that's highly valued.
This position offers you a high level of responsibility and control over data and analysis as you will be heading up all new and existing projects, in close collaboration with stakeholders.
The team are really close-knit and support knowledge sharing, with plenty of scope for personal progression. Some of the team have been there for several years and progressed from mid-level developers into more senior positions across the business - this is supported with certifications and conferences to enhance your learning.
Data Engineer Summary & Requirements:
* 3+ years experience with data engineering
* Data modelling, data warehousing, data visualisation
* Experience with Azure, especially working with Data Factory and Databricks
* Comfortable with programming languages (Python or C#/.NET)
