Head of Data Platforms:

A large global travel organisation are looking for a Head of Data Platforms to join their growing team at a critical period of transformation, and play a pivotal role in shaping their future data set-up. This role is ideally suited to someone with a track-record of helping companies transform their data set up from legacy systems to more modern technologies.

They are based in Central London and are looking for someone to come into their office around 2 days per week along wiht the rest of your team. They pride themselves on their flexible approach to work, and will consider part-time as well as full-time candidates in keeping with their people-centric values.

The role:

In this role you would be joining their Technology department, and be responsible for leading their ETL and Data Engineering Teams - the role is a real mix of data architecture, data strategy and technical delivery, so we are looking for someone with a hands-on technical background, who has since moved into leadership roles.

At the moment they're working across a range of technologies including SQL, Oracle, AWS, Informatica Cloud and Snowflake - you don't need prior experience with all of these, as long as you would be happy to pick them up! Their data solutions have been historically built to meet specific needs, but they're now on a journey to scale and standardise their solutions, across areas including data warehousing, MDM, data integration, ETL and analytics.

The responsibilities of the role are very broad, with lots of scope for the individual to redefine this as they scale up. General responsibilities will include: line management, data architecture, and providing leadership and guidance to the team. This is a real growth role, where you will also support overall data strategy and roadmap definition, organisational structure and recruitment, and be an advocate for data culture and best-practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their experience on global programs, with a strong delivery-driven and organisational mindset.

Requirements:

* Significant experience leading on data change programmes - looking at data architecture, and transforming legacy systems to modern ones
* Hands-on technical background, and experience working with various data and integration product suites
* Experience leading technical teams
* Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Clear passion and enthusiasm for your work

Benefits:

* Salary of up to 85,0000 depending on experience
* Excellent flexible working options
* Access to private healthcare
* Industry-related discounts
* Lots of social events
