Power BI Consultant - SC Cleared

A small and growing data consultancy are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join their team, where you'll work with their Public Sector clients to unlock the value in their data. Please note that this role requires to already hold active Security Clearance - this means you must have used your SC clearance within the last 12 months - unfortunately applicants without this cannot be considered.

The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to their major offices in the UK and some travel to client site when required - any travel to client site will be expensed. As such, potential candidates are asked to have a flexible attitude when it comes to travel, but can be based anywhere in the UK.

In this role you will engage with their Public Sector clients to deliver a series of bespoke Power BI dashboards, proving actionable insight to inform decision-making. This role will involve customer-facing work, where you will look to understand client requirements and identify the data sources they have available, before conducting data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL), data modelling and developing automated and insightful Power BI dashboards. You will have the opportunity to support client engagements through delivering pitches and presentations too.

As such, this is truly an end-to-end development role, and would be well-suited to an experienced Power BI Consultant or an ambitious in-house Developer who is keen to make the move to Consulting. You will be actively encouraged to input in the company's strategy and shape their future, making this a truly unique opportunity to make a real impact to a growing consultancy!

Requirements:

* Strong end-to-end Power BI development skills including DAX
* Strong SQL skills
* Strong ETL skills
* Experience working in the public sector would be desirable but not essential
* Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
