Power BI Practice Lead

A Microsoft Consultancy are looking for a Power BI expert to set-up and lead a new Power BI Practice to kick-start this their Power BI offering. This is an incredibly unique opportunity for a Power BI enthusiast to take real ownership of this area of the business and become a long-term member of their Senior Management team.

This role will require you to come into their Wolverhampton office 4 days per week to build the strong relationships required to succeed in this role, so you must live within a commutable distance. Over time, it's likely that the role will require a bit less time in the office.

A significant part of this role will be working closely with the Customer Engagement and Sales teams to identify opportunities with existing clients to provide Power BI solutions - this might involve explaining possibilities, highlighting unidentified business benefits of leveraging Power BI, and scoping out projects.

Their clients are mainly SMEs, and you will be very technically hands-on in developing and delivering the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs and create new commercial opportunities. Initially, you will be the "sole" Power BI expert in the organisation.

Over time, the long-term goal is to build out a team of Power BI professionals around you as demand for Power BI services increases. You should be someone who is target-driven and excited by the idea of building out this opportunity for the business, whilst still remaining hands-on and leading by example!

Requirements:

* Strong Power BI development skills including DAX script writing
* Experience managing projects across their entire lifecycle
* Experience working with small to medium enterprises
* Exceptional communication and consultative skills

Benefits:

* Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience
