The Company:
A major issue within healthcare is the wait times for patients to get an appointment. Nigel Frank have recently begun working with a forward-thinking, Gothenburg-based company who's mission it is to address these issues by offering a platform through which patients can book and follow up on their appointments. The platform is also used by health professionals and insurance companies, as well as recently releasing a complete digital solution that enables ordering and management of occupational health services. Recent growth and expansion has led to a rebranding of their service, future-proofing the brand and setting our client up for further growth.
Healthcare as an industry is going through rapid change off the back of the pandemic, and our client is set to be at the forefront of this movement. This provides successful applicants with the opportunity to place themselves at the heart of growth, both personally and with the company as a whole. Our client pride themselves in their ability to foster a positive workplace atmosphere, with this being one of their three core values.
The Role:
Our client is looking to completely redesign both their frontend and backend structures, so whether you specialise in one or the other, or you like to have a good spread and work fullstack, this role provides you with the opportunity to work with modern technologies and on predominantly greenfield development. A large part of this will be a migration to a microservices-based architecture, while the frontend is currently quite outdated, written in WinForms, but they have already begun the migration to Blazor.
The wider company works with modern tech including Azure, Microservices, Modern JavaScript frameworks, DevOps, Kubernetes and CI/CD, and the long-term goal is to modernise this section and incorporate modern technologies to improve the product's functionality.
You'll work cross-functionally in order to share the workload with your colleagues; this results in a friendly work environment where the team are motivated to improve the way Swedish healthcare systems operate. They pride themselves on using the highest level of code and best practice, while at the same time encouraging creativity through not only their culture but through their 4 periods each year in which employees are given total technical freedom to try different ideas and improvements to the system.
