Nigel Frank are an international agency that has grown to be one of the most-trusted tech recruitment partners to a wide range of businesses across Sweden. The Company

I have recently begun working with an exciting client who are looking for Backend .NET Developers to join their game server team. The company build games for the online casino market and have gone from strength to strength since they were founded, now employing around 40 people.

You'll be the fourth member of their server team, who support the work of four separate client teams, who build the games themselves. The casino industry has many rules and regulations to work around, aimed at promoting responsible gambling, which make developing in this environment challenging, yet very exciting, as you'll work with modern technologies and a highly complex mathematical model.

The Role

You'll be working very close to the backend logic and architecture in this role, connecting the game itself to the algorithm through complex backend design. The backend is in .NETCore/C#, so good experience working with this software is important. Those with a background or interest in mathematics will also particularly enjoy this role thanks to the challenges associated with working with an algorithm-driven product.

There's a large focus on project roadmapping as, due to the nature of releasing games in such a highly regulated industry, there is a delay between release and certification. This means that the server team need to get things right first time around, so you'll become highly skilled at planning pragmatic yet highly effective software solutions.

This puts you in a fantastic position to move into an architecture-focussed role in future, while the industry is the perfect stepping stone into game development, or other highly regulated fields such as banking or insurance.

The company have cultivated a really friendly team, who regularly do things as a team outside of work too - while when in work they are a driven group of senior and really passionate developers. They're based in Gothenburg and Stockholm, and offer hybrid working with a good degree of flexibility.

To apply for this position, send your CV via this portal or email it to e.clark@nigelfrank.com Alternatively, you can reach out to Ed Clark on LinkedIn to learn more regarding this position or others which are available at Nigel Frank.
