Power BI Developer

Power BI Developer - £60,000 per annum DoE

I am currently working with a market leading retailer who are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join their team as they look to centralise their analytics function. The team have currently been reporting in a number of different ways with different BI tools, but they are now looking to standardise reporting in Power BI and are looking for a SME to join and take ownership of the reporting suite. This will be your opportunity to join a global analytics team at the beginning of the journey and play a key role in developing reporting standards. The insights that you will be responsible for creating will help shape the future strategy of the company. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skill set further and gain exposure to new areas of technology. The organisation are looking at cloud migration plans in the future so this is a fantastic time to join a growing team at the beginning of an exciting digital transformation.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

* Build custom visualisations in Power BI based on stakeholder requirements.
* Take ownership of the organisations Power BI reporting suite
* Be responsible for building data sets and creating data flows to Power BI
* Use coding languages such as SQL and DAX to extract data from various sources and transform data.

This is a salaried role paying up to £60,000 per year depending on experience. This is a hybrid opportunity working in the organisations office in York where you will work alongside like minded professionals. To be successful in this role you will have.

* Strong Power BI experience creating custom visualisations.
* Strong DAX experience
* Understanding of data modelling; how to create data models and create transformation pipelines.
* SQL skills would be beneficial
