We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the team at Manager-level in Oslo!
You will be joining an established FinTech company with over 1000 employees across Norway, and both large & small customers worldwide using our products
Based in-house, you and your team will be tasked with handling large amounts of data at a high scale requiring the automation and orchestration of pipelines. There is data from various sources required to be available in our data platform, allowing our BI and analytics teams to provide meaningful insights to internal stakeholders and customers
We are in the early stages of implementing predictive analytics, and hope to expand this further in the near future
Your direct team will consist of 3 data engineers who you will have technical responsibility for, offering guidance and support as they develop their careers in data. Personnel management can be optional for the right person, as there is a Head of Department overseeing all colleagues.
Your day-to-day can include:
* Leading the data engineering team, offering support & guidance to members
* Working with stakeholders across the business on technical and strategic decision-making
* Being involved in recruitment processes to grow the engineering and data team further
* Working closely with a team of data analysts, BI developers and advisors
* Designing, developing, and implementing architecture and data pipelines
We are looking for you to bring:
* Education in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
* 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or BI
* Proficiency in SQL
* Experience with ETL, building data pipelines, and working with a data platform on cloud
* Experience with Azure and functions such as Data Factory, Data Bricks, Synapse
