The Company
An opportunity has recently opened up for .NET Developers in Stockholm to work for a major pet insurance company who are looking to expand their stellar reputation in Scandinavia out to the rest of Europe over coming years. Historically, their IT systems have been outsourced, though they are now looking to internalise it all to bring the company's software up to speed with their existing reputation for quality services they provide.
They are a subsidiary of one of Sweden's largest insurance companies and brands. This gives them huge financial backing in addition to the financial success they are able to sustain themselves. At over 100 years old this company is extremely stable, while the modernisation and upgrade of their IT systems gives successful applicants the opportunity to have a large impact on a well-known and historical institution.
Requirements
* .NET/C# (preferably with .NETCore or .NET 6)
* Azure DevOps
* CI/CD
* Experience carrying out Unit Tests
The Role
The majority of your work at the outset of your career with our client will focus around the migration and upgrade of an old legacy system to .NETCore and .NET 6. They are currently running a monolith application and plan to break this down and migrate it over to a microservice-based architecture hosted in Azure cloud. This process will take some time so it is important that you are comfortable working in a monolith environment when you initially join the company.
These are not the only changes taking place in the IT department - alongside their migration to much more modern technology and the cementing of their IT teams in a centralised team, they are looking to implement Agile and SAFe methodologies at every level of their development teams. You would have the opportunity, therefore, to come in and have a real influence over how this is handled and how the teams work going forward.
