Database Specialist, Antwerp

A new client, an international company based in Antwerp region is looking to onboard a Database Specialist to strengthen the R&D team.

My client is an ICT company, having their focus in cross-platforms migration.

Responsibilities:

Setup and configure relational databases on Linux/Windows or in the Cloud;
*

Setup backup and restore mechanisms of the databases;
*

Convert database structures and application data from legacy databases (Adabas, IDMS, VSAM, DB2 zOS) to the equivalent RDBMS structures in SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL,
*

Execute in depth data conversion and runtime database access issue analysis - that should result in a clear description of the root cause of the problem for the RnD team;
*

Perform database performance analysis, and tune runtime and data loading performance where applicable.

Skills:

*

Relevant work experiences with Database.
*

Experience configuring and installing Oracle / PostegreSQL / SQL server
*

Experiences with legacy database
*

Fluent in English
